A roguelike set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where a version of the 1980s persists among the ruins of America and booze is a precious resource. The protagonist explores the wastes and vast, procedurally generated underground bunkers, fighting raiders and mutants while avoiding traps. In search of weapons, armor, and supplies, the player can sneak past enemies, fight them head-on, or lure them into attacking one another.

Drinking irradiated booze grants the character mutational Hangovers and permanent abilities, but death is permanent. Between expeditions, the player develops a persistent home, adding amenities such as workbenches, kitchens, and gardens, and stocks it with weapons and supplies.
