This first-person fantasy action adventure takes place among the ruins of a fallen world threatened by an ancient danger. Grappling hooks provide the main means of traversal, with parkour-style platforming across expansive areas to explore. Collectibles and hidden secrets reward players for searching the environment.
The journey can be played solo or in co-op for up to four players. A bow and grappling hooks are used in battles against gigantic titans, while a voiced storyline features characters and events in the world. Optional challenges include speed runs and item collection, and advanced modes add restrictions such as disabling hooks or limiting the run to one life.
