Windward Horizon

An open-world adventure RPG about sea voyages, trade, and life as a captain. The game builds on the ideas of the original Windward from 2015. As a young captain with no ties to any faction, you can explore a procedurally generated world, take on quests, fish, search for sunken treasure, or simply sail the open seas. Each campaign offers a unique map, so every new voyage is different. The game supports both solo play and co-op with friends.

The world at sea changes in response to the captain’s actions. Cities and provinces need resources to grow, and trade helps them prosper. Supporting one faction can disrupt another’s plans, while influencing local leaders can shift the balance of power across entire regions without a single cannon shot. Ships can be customized for different roles: turn them into armored heavyweights, fast combat schooners, or support vessels. Your choice of weapons, armor, and tactics shapes your naval battles and interactions with other captains.
