Wipeout HD is a futuristic anti-gravity racing game featuring reworked tracks from earlier entries in the Wipeout series. Players choose from 12 racing teams and compete on eight tracks, each available in reverse, across five game modes.

Ships can be steered using motion-sensing controls. The game supports two-player split-screen races and online races for up to eight competitors. Its soundtrack includes remixes of tracks from Wipeout Pulse, and players can also use custom soundtracks.
