A vertical scrolling shooter with dark-comedy cutscenes, WITCH-BOT MEGLILO follows Meglilo, a witch who is killed amid a clash between Professor Amamori and the Gogoh Army, then rebuilt as a witch-bot and sent to seek revenge. Her companion is Billiken, a sidekick who also serves as her conscience.

Players fight through stages and face bosses with standard shots and time-stop magic. This ability lets Meglilo warp to a chosen point, becoming invulnerable to bullets and obstacles, but its use is limited by a quickly draining magic gauge. Her satellites can be upgraded and equipped with different weapons on either side, allowing combinations such as a close-range attack on one side and lasers on the other.
