Wizard Hex is a strategy board game about a contest between magical elements on a hexagonal board. Players choose one of six elements and join forces with adjacent allied elements to compete for control of the board against other players or the computer. A match supports one to six participants.

Players expand their territory, stack pieces and attack opponents while defending the regions they control. Pieces can be upgraded from bronze to silver and then to indestructible gold. Progression moves through Apprentice, Journeyman and Wizard levels, introducing the strategy of resource management and area control.
