This first-person, turn-based role-playing game set in the Wolfenstein universe follows William “B.J.” Blazkowicz after Axis forces capture him. He must escape captivity and stop the Paranormal Division, making his way through catacombs and towns before infiltrating Castle Wolfenstein.
Movement and combat proceed in turns, with each action allowing other characters in the area to act. Along the way, Blazkowicz can find tools and items, use weapons, explore rooms, and search for hidden objects. The game also features two mini-games: the card game War and Chicken Kicking, in which points are scored by kicking a chicken into a target area.
