I was really hooked on this game because:
1. The theme and gameplay. I'm interested in the part of history where the USSR was a powerful nation. I also like games with urban development themes, and Soviet Republic combines all of that. Unlike Theo Town and SimCity, this one is more focused on socialism. There's no private property in the game; only you (the government) can provide benefits to the population—food, technology, apartments, etc. There's no boring division into industrial, commercial, and other districts—you build every house and pave the road where you want. And so on.
2. Realistic technology and infrastructure. Familiar houses, monuments, cars. They even squeezed in world-famous landmarks, along with the Kremlin walls (except for the Spasskaya Tower).
3. There are so many small details. And I'm not talking about the houses. In the game, you can build factories that produce things the people need, extract resources, and then export them wisely. It's nice that you can trade with other countries. Electricity and sewage are also present.
4. Now about the houses and the graphics in general. The windows of the houses have curtains, flower pots, and you can even find a cat; the car windows also light up; people are small 3D models; umbrellas on the beach, church windows—the detail is 100 out of 10! Even after the rain, there are puddles on the roads.
5. Music. The sounds of cars and houses as you approach them, the sounds of rain, fires, construction—everything is as realistic as possible. I won't even mention the background music. So much so that I set it as my ringtone (there are 33 tracks in total).
6. If you buy the full version on Steam, it has a lot of maps of real countries and cities (though sometimes with some flaws).
7. One downside is the limited variety of buildings. You can't place village houses, for example. There are only four rides. And there are no benches, what if I want to make a cozy park?
8. Downloading mods on a pirated version is a real pain.
9. Not as much cranberry as I expected, which is a plus.

Меня очень зацепила эта игра, потому что:
1. Тематика и геймплей. Мне интересна часть истории, где СССР был могучей державой. К тому же мне нравятся игры с тематикой градостроения, и soviet republic это всё совместил. В отличии от тех же theo town и simcity, тут тема больше направлена на социализм. В игре нет частной собственности, только ты (государство) можешь давать блага населению — еду, технику, квартиры и тд; нет скучного деления на промышленные, коммерческие и другие районы — ты возводишь каждый домик и прокладываешь дорогу в том месте, где ты хочешь. И всё в этом духе.
2. Реальные техника и инфраструктура. Знакомые домики, памятники, машины. Даже мировые достопримечательности впихнули вместе со стенами Кремля (только Спасской башни нету).
3. Очень много мелких деталей. И я сейчас не про дома. В игре ты можешь возводить заводы с фабриками, производящие нужные народу вещи, и добывать ресурсы, грамотно потом их экспортируя. Приятно, что тут можно торговать с другими странами. Электричество, канализация — тоже присутствуют.
4. А вот теперь про дома и вообще про графику. В окнах домов прорисованы занавески, цветочные горшки и даже можно найти кота; окна в машинах тоже светятся; люди — маленькие 3д модельки; зонтики на пляже, окна церквей — детализация 100 из 10! Даже после дождя на дорогах есть лужи.
5. Музыка. Звуки машин и домов при приближении к ним, звуки дождя, пожаров, стройки — всё максимально реалистично. Про фоновую музыку я вообще молчу. До такой степени, что поставил её на рингтон (всего композиций в игре 33).
6. Если купить полную версию в стиме — то там очень много карт реальных стран и городов (правда иногда с недочётами).
7. Один минус — малое разнообразие построек. Нельзя ставить деревенские домики например. Аттракциона всего 4. И ещё скамеек нету, а если я захочу сделать уютный парк?
8. На пиратку скачивать моды — лютый геморрой.
9. Не так много клюквы, как я ожидал, это плюс.
