A turn-based tactical game about battles between teams of worms, fought with an arsenal of nearly 60 weapons. Matches support solo play or 2–6 players, locally, online, or in a mix of both; the Wormpot offers more than 1,000 variations on the rules.

Alongside standard battles, the game includes training, missions of varying difficulty, time trials, and Deathmatch challenges against computer-controlled teams that become progressively harder. Multiplayer missions let players cooperate or compete in specially prepared scenarios. Completing missions unlocks terrains for regular matches.
