About the Game
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a turn-based tactical strategy game about the secret organization XCOM fighting a global alien invasion. The player manages the organization’s resources and headquarters, researches alien technology, develops weapons, and recruits and trains soldiers to defend Earth.
In ground battles, the player directs squads and controls soldiers’ movement, while air units can also be deployed. Operations take place around the world, where XCOM combats aliens, rescues civilians, and works with governments. The game features more than 70 combat missions.

The original game ran on DOS—it's a masterpiece! I still play it sometimes in DOSbox!!!
The new version... I didn't play it! It's disgusting! I installed it, tried it—it's a cheap knockoff created to exploit a glorious name!

A wonderful adaptation of the classic UFO concept, enriched with tactical mechanics.
Essentially this is a reboot of a series beloved by many.
On the one hand, it will be extremely difficult to recognize an old friend based on the new graphics and cinematic angles. On the other hand, we are still building a shelter, training fighters, hiring personnel, researching extraterrestrial technologies and flying on operations.
A very high-quality rethinking, especially against the backdrop of cheap “remasters” that have become extremely popular.

Замечательная адаптация концепции классического UFO, обогащенная тактическими механиками.
По сути это ребут, любимой многими, серии.
С одной стороны, по новой графике и кинематографичных ракурсам узнать старого друга будет крайне проблематично. С другой, мы все так же отстраиваем убежище, тренируем бойцов, нанимаем персонал, исследуем внеземные технологии и летаем на операции.
Очень качественное переосмысление, особенно, на фоне копеечных "ремастеров", которые стали крайне популярны.

An excellent remake on the theme of the first UFO, but without extensive maneuvering. The plot is generally narrowed to planned execution, you will not find such a variety of plot development branches as in the first part. However, it is played with interest, the authors managed to maintain an atmosphere of ominous alienation.
Отличный ремейк на тему первого UFO, но без расширенного маневрирования.Сюжет в общем то сужен до планового выполнения,такого разнообразия ветвей развития сюжета как в первой части,вы тут не встретите.Однако,играется с интересом,авторам удалось сохранить атмосферу зловещей пришельственности.
