This adventure follows a young girl exploring the mysterious, unreal world of her dreams. With no story or guidance at the outset, she discovers different places and gathers clues to the mysteries hidden within them.
Seven doors in the dream lead to different worlds, which can be visited repeatedly and in any order. The player must flee from pursuing monsters, learn how to use discovered items, and solve puzzles. Uncovering the connections between the worlds can bring the girl closer to her goal. Yume Nikki: Dream Diary reimagines the original Yume Nikki with 3D graphics and a new game system while retaining the feel of its world and characters.
