Zombie Grinder is a cooperative multiplayer action game about fighting hordes of zombies across a variety of maps. It supports local and online co-op, as well as PvP modes, and local players can join online matches. The available modes include wave-based and objective-focused PvE, team and solo PvP battles, and roguelike modes with procedurally generated maps.

Characters gain experience and levels by defeating enemies, unlocking active and passive abilities in a skill tree. Weapons and items can be found in-game and used to change a character’s appearance and loadout. A level editor lets players create maps and share them through the Workshop.
