Rumor: the new Doom part will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase in the summer

Insider and journalist for The Verge Tom Warren hinted at the announcement of a new part of Doom. It will probably be shown at the Xbox summer presentation.

Readers noticed lines from his recent article about the state of Microsoft, which literally read like this: «Microsoft will be banking on some new game announcements lifting the Doom around Xbox.» The context concerned the projects that the company will present at the Xbox Games Showcase. Tom Warren made the same line in a separate post on social networks. Many saw in it a hint of information about the new part of the shooter.

This is confirmed by the fact that the ZeniMax company, which owns Bethesda Softworks and id Software, recently registered a new IDKFA trademark for a game. The name is nothing more than a cheat code for weapons in classic Doom.

Probably, the announcement of the new part will take place this summer along with Gears 6, State of Decay 3 and the next Call of Duty.

Let us remember that earlier insider Jeff Grubb stated that the new Perfect Dark would be presented at the same presentation. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf gameplay will also likely be shown at the Summer Game Fest in June.
