Assassin's Creed Shadows Compared to Origins and Red Dead Redemption 2 in Detail and Physics

New videos have appeared online comparing Assassin's Creed Shadows to other games. The author of the YouTube channel Gameinvader found out whether there are any improvements since Assassin's Creed Origins, and tested the approach to details and physics using Red Dead Redemption 2 as an example.

Compared to its predecessor from the mythical Assassin's Creed trilogy, the new part about Japan showed itself well. For example, water reacts realistically to bow shots, and horses have learned to swim across rivers. Parkour also looks improved due to the grappling hook and marks along the way.

Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2, released in 2018, left its competitor from 2025 behind on several points at once. For example, it has more animations of sliding on ice, a horse can kick in response to a random blow, and a hunting system has been implemented.

Recall that Assassin's Creed Shadows was released on March 20 on PC, Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game has previously been compared to Ghost of Tsushima, testing katana fights, parkour and other aspects.
