Best Warrior (Lae'zel) Build in Baldur's Gate 3
Lae'zel is one of the main heroes and companions in Baldur's Gate 3, a stern Githyanki warrior who does not tolerate disobedience or weakness. Generally speaking, warriors as a class are very serious folks who can not only behead enemies left and right but also provide decent support to allies. We've prepared this guide specifically so that you can build the best possible character.

How to Play as a Warrior (Lae'zel) in Baldur's Gate 3
A warrior is not just a huge force that you can unleash upon enemies, but also protection for your allies. Your main attributes are Strength and Constitution. Remember that Dexterity affects your AC (Armor Class), but for a warrior, this bonus is not as crucial. The reason is that this class is recommended to wear heavy armor, which often has limitations on the Dexterity bonus to AC — for example, it may be nonexistent or capped at +2.
As for weapons, a two-handed sword is preferable — like the one you can take from Commander Zhalk at the very beginning of the game. By the way, we highly recommend doing this and giving it to Lae'zel.

Out of all the fighting styles, we recommend Defense. The other styles are quite situational — they mainly depend on what weapon you will be fighting with. In the case of Defense, you immediately get a permanent +1 to AC, as long as you do not remove your warrior's armor.
How to Choose a Subclass and Maneuvers at Level 3
Battle Master will be the best choice because it is the only subclass that offers such a variety of maneuvers. Maneuvers are full-fledged actions, mainly attacks, that have an additional effect on the enemy — they can frighten them, disarm, knock them down, and so on.
At the third level, we recommend the following maneuvers:
- Disarming Attack;
- Riposte;
- Trip Attack.
What Feat to Choose at Level 4
Since the warrior is a melee fighter, the Sentinel feat will be useful not only to him but also to allies. Thus, if during a fight you are near an ally and someone wants to attack them, our hypothetical Lae'zel will make an opportunity attack against the aggressor.
What Feat to Choose at Level 6
The Tough feat is a real lifesaver for melee fighters because it doubles your HP (hit points) and generally makes you feel much more confident.
Which Maneuvers to Choose at Level 7
The next maneuvers that should definitely be in your pool are Pushing Attack and Sweeping Attack. The names are quite self-explanatory, but we'll specify that at level seven, you can't do without the ability to skillfully knock down enemies and strike broadly.
What Feat to Choose at Level 8
Our favorite Ability Score Improvement. Here we need to increase Strength to 18, thereby increasing damage.
Which Maneuvers to Choose at Level 10
At level ten, you will need Menacing Attack and Supporting Attack because these are very important maneuvers not only for effective attacking but also for protecting allies, as mentioned earlier.
What Feat to Choose at Level 12
Here, you will definitely need to increase your warrior's attributes through Ability Score Improvement, but which one specifically will be left to your discretion. You can choose between two depending on your playstyle: Strength or Constitution. Remember, Strength affects your damage, while Constitution affects your hit points.
