We can confidently say that you have the opportunity to date multiple companions in the early stages of relationships. That means players can view all the «first» romantic scenes. For instance, we managed to see the first scenes with Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Astarion, and Gale. The characters did not react to the infidelities.

When the player independently proposes to start a full-fledged relationship with a companion, that's when the partner's «possessive» stance begins. Your flings on the side will not go unnoticed, and some companions will independently break off the relationship in the event of infidelity.

However, Baldur's Gate 3 offers alternative romantic relationship options, where you can start a romance and ask your partner for permission for a fling on the side. For example, Shadowheart will allow the player to sleep with the druid Halsin or the demoness Mizora if they ask her permission.

You'll first meet Shadowheart aboard the ship in the prologue. Be sure to save her, as this will earn you trust points and steer your strained relationship in the right direction.

During your conversations with Shadowheart, you must learn about her love for «Night Orchids» and her inability to swim. This knowledge is very important for further development of the relationship.

«Night Orchids» grow in the Cursed Lands of the second act. They can be found on cliffs along the road. Use the ALT button to highlight objects. The orchid also grows in the Temple of Shar, which you will be led to by Shadowheart's personal quest.

In the second act, you will find yourself in the Shar's dungeon. To continue the romantic storyline with Shadowheart, you need to spare the Night Song. In this case, the half-elf will renounce her bloodthirsty goddess and fully dedicate her free time to the hero. Don't forget to select Shadowheart in the camp to communicate with the Night Song on her behalf.

In the third act, help Shadowheart find her parents. Let the girl make the decision regarding their fate on her own. If she lets them go peacefully, you will definitely see the climactic intimate scene.

After completing Shadowheart's personal quest, you need to continue communicating with her, occasionally kissing and planning a future together. Rest in the camp more often. During one of the overnight stays, the girl will suggest going for a swim to distract from sad thoughts.

Once you arrive at the beach, persuade Shadowheart to undress first. Then, choose any responses to quickly go for a skinny dip and later make love.

When Shadowheart starts pondering about life after defeating the Absolute, suggest building a future together. This will lead to a romantic epilogue after the credits.

Romancing Lae'zel is easier than with any other companion. You'll meet her on the ship in the prologue and later save her from a trap set by tieflings. The main requirement for a relationship is a high level of trust. We've outlined all the necessary conditions in this guide.

After achieving a high level of trust, you need to complete the quest involving saving the tiefling refugees. Then, during the festival, talk to Lae'zel and suggest having sex. After that, go to sleep and choose the option: «Go with Lae'zel». You can also unlock this scene before the festival, depending on the level of trust.

After the romantic scene, tell Lae'zel you want to repeat the experience. Now, your character will sleep with the Githyanki whenever there's an opportunity.

Upon reaching the Creche, head to the device for removing the tadpole. Then, deceive the doctor that the operation was successful. Next, go to the inquisitor and refuse to hand over the artifact. Convince Lae'zel that this is for the best for everyone and kill the inquisitor and his retinue.

Then, insert the artifact into the special device as the Githyanki goddess requests. Go to the keeper alone. Do not kill him. Next, share your thoughts with Lae'zel.

After several nights, Lae'zel will attack the sleeping hero. Agree to fight her, but remember to save your game, as the battle will be very tough. After winning, accept her consent for a full relationship.

To achieve the special romantic scene, you'll have to follow the main storyline through rescuing Orpheus from captivity. Of course, there's a chance to finish the game on the Emperor's side, but then you need to take Lae'zel on all missions and in controversial dialogues, pray for a critical success on the dice roll.

In the epilogue, you can convince the Githyanki to stay with you forever. For this, you need to persuade her through a dice roll.

The next step in the relationship will come after completing the quest in the Shar temple. Return to the camp before the final battle of the second act. Near Gale's tent, you will see a mirror projection. It will offer you to follow for an audience. Agree.

You will see Gale sitting in a meadow. During the conversation, choose romantic lines of dialogue. Don't forget to kiss your beloved. After this scene, Gale will want to show you something. Agree, and he will transport you to another illusion. Talk to the mage until the option appears: «I think that sounds delightful, but I don't see a bed».

Do not take Gale on the assault of the Moon Towers. This will save you from persuasion checks when the mage wants to detonate the orb in his chest. Thus, you will avoid a hasty finale and the companion's death.

After killing the duke and completing Karlach's main quest, talk to the girl in the camp. Promise to be with her until the very end.

In the first act, take Wyll with you when you head to the burning mansion. There you will learn about Wyll's father and his noble status.

After the video, Halsin will take a wild shape. You can choose in what form you want to see the druid during sex.

To see the first bed scene, you will have to walk the dark path and destroy the Druid Grove. After completing the quest, talk to Minthara and open your mind to her. The drow will tell you that she will come to your camp to celebrate the victory.

You will find Minthara near the camp. During the conversation, she will suggest sleeping together. Go to bed to trigger the intimate cutscene. During the romantic act, there will be a dice roll check that affects the duration and outcome of the scene.

While completing the quest to save the tiefling refugees, accept Halsin's proposal to kill all the leaders of the goblin camp. Use non-lethal attacks when fighting Minthara. Yes, this will deprive you of the romantic scene in the camp, but it will allow the drow to appear in the second act of the story.

After visiting the Moon Towers, you will find Minthara in prison. Save her from torture and help her reach your camp. Later, show her the true motives of the Absolute through mind reading. Now Minthara will be on the light side, and you can start a romantic relationship with her.

In the second act, help Minthara reclaim the Moon Towers. For the final battle with Ketheric, take the drow into your team. After the battle, talk to Minthara and convince her to destroy the rulers of the Absolute.

You need to increase the trust level to maximum and convince Minthara to switch to the side of good. After killing Orin, head to the camp. One night, the drow will offer to spend some time alone with you. Agree to gain access to the romantic cutscene.

Minsc and Jaheira can be taken as companions, but you cannot start a romantic relationship with them. This is because these characters are written into the lore of the Dungeons and Dragons mythology.

In addition to romantic scenes with allies, Baldur's Gate 3 has additional cutscenes involving sexual relations.
