In the Tolled to Rest quest in Dragon's Dogma 2, players are introduced to a traveler named Oscar who needs an escort to the cenotaph. The quest can be activated during the exploration of the Ancient Battlefield, which is located to the north of the Frontier Town. You can penetrate this location through the eastern and western gates, however, the quest giver will be waiting right at the eastern gate.

Here you will meet a guy named Oscar, who needs help. A group of monsters attacked him — help defeat them and agree to accompany him to the cenotaph.

We do not recommend running onto the battlefield itself. At this moment, a dragon was fighting a cyclops on our makeshift arena — quite a spectacle. The dragon eventually won.

Just run after Oscar and kill the attacking skeletons along the way. Among them will be both swordsmen and mages. Climbing to the second floor of the ruined fortress, continue accompanying the man until you reach a small bell. As soon as he rings it, the quest will be completed, and you will receive 9000 gold, 3000 experience, and the Key from the ancient battlefield. Here you can also pick up the Doom of the Nation grimoire, which will be useful in completing other quests.

The obtained key can be used right there, nearby. Exit the room with the bell and turn left. Go to the first door on the right, which is blocked by barrels and crates. Break them, then apply the key.

Inside the room, you will find two chests with valuable loot: the Hellblade glaive, a Teleportation Stone, and 2200 gold.
