Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds: Best Mining Locations & Uses

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are many diverse resources, each playing its own role. One such resource is Fucium Ore, however, finding it can be difficult. In this guide, we'll tell you where to find the ore and what to use it for.
Where to find Fucium Ore
Fucium Ore is a high-rank or rarity material that can be found in one of the last locations unlocked through the storyline. The ore is needed for some important upgrades that will allow you to fight the most powerful monsters in the game.
First, you need to unlock the high-rank version of the Wyveria Ruins. This can be done by progressing through the post-story quests available after the main campaign credits. It is in the Wyveria Ruins that you can mine as much Fucium Ore as you want.
Load into the location and place a marker on one of the mining points. The nearest one is right behind the camp and to the left. The mount should automatically take you to the deposits.
Mine the stone, and you will have a chance to obtain Fucium Ore. Although it is quite common, the material is still considered rare, so not every mining spot is guaranteed to contain it. Move from one mining point to another until you find the required amount.
If you have exhausted all the deposits in the Wyveria Ruins and still don't have the required amount of Fucium, wait for the mining points to replenish. To do this, load into a new area and then return, or simply restart the game. If you are looking for a specific amount of Fucium to create an upgrade, try adding the item you are working on to the wishlist so the game will notify you when you have collected enough.
What to use Fucium Ore for in Monster Hunter Wilds
Fucium Ore is mainly used for upgrading weapons and creating non-monster-related armor parts. For example, some parts of the powerful "Ingot" set require Fucium Ore.
Similarly, you may need Fucium for upgrading certain types of weapons. The fact is that the entire arsenal is upgraded in a tree-like manner, meaning you cannot unlock the best variation until you have made all the previous versions. Even if you do not intend to use a specific barrel or sharpening, you will have to craft it. For example, you need to use Fucium Ore to create the "Metal Bagpipe 3" if you ultimately want to create the "Jin Dhaang Hunting Horn 1". Other types of weapons have similar upgrade chains requiring Fucium Ore.
