Guide to Crafting Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds is a new action-RPG dedicated to monster hunting. The game has become the successor to Monster Hunter World, beloved by everyone in 2018. Along with many mechanics, this part also includes the ability to actively explore the world after the main story campaign. To defeat stronger opponents, you will need powerful items, such as Artian weapons. Let's look at their features and ways to create them.

Artian weapons are one of the strongest categories of items in the game. Their feature lies in modularity: you can influence the total amount of damage dealt, the chance of a critical attack, and choose one of the elements, or combine them. Note that your items will additionally deal damage from element mastery if they are made from at least parts with the same information about additional ability.

First, we need to kill any Tempered monster. They appear during the fourth chapter. For killing the enemy, we may get special items with some probability: broken blade, shattered disk, spoiled tube, and rusty device, which come in three rarity categories.

After gathering resources, let's go to Gemma, our blacksmith. He can be found in any of the camps after the first meeting. Open the list of actions and select the appropriate item.

In the menu, find the weapon that interests us. Now select materials for it. Choosing a resource from the list, carefully look at the characteristics on the right, which change depending on the element and rarity. On the left, check with the selected items, then confirm your choice below. The item will be crafted.

Tempered monsters appear on the map in various areas and differ from regular opponents with complicated attacks and increased resilience. You will first encounter such an opponent during the fourth chapter. In addition to Artian collections, hunting them also gives you an increased amount of other rewards.

You can enhance your Artian weapons, but this is done using other resources similar to leveling up armor. You will need to gather various rare metals, which you can exchange with Gemma in the corresponding tab for a bonus to a random attribute, such as attack, critical hit, element, or defense. You can increase the weapon's level in this way no more than five times.

Exact proportions in the number of units of each ore are not necessary: any resource gives a certain amount of points, and similarly, each new bonus requires a set of specific point values.

Another practical method is to gather higher-level Artian materials, if possible, and simply craft a weapon with higher rarity.
