The Precinct: All Safe Codes and Passwords — Complete List

The Precinct is a noir third-person detective game that lets players become a police officer tasked with putting an end to organized crime. Justice must be served in a large, intricately detailed city where every corner may hide secrets and mysteries. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to find all the safes. Additionally, you’ll get the codes for all the cases and learn what artifacts you can obtain.

Mercer Heights

You’ll open the first chest during the story. Head to the parking lot to the left of the bank. Find the case standing between two large dumpsters, then enter the code: 4-3-2-1 to receive the St. Harry's Cellar Key.

Boddicker Yard

Climb to the roof of the residential building in the center of the block using the ladder by the fence next to the trash container. Head to the safe lying on the ventilation duct. Now solve the riddle: "Less than my hands, half of my toes, double my head, four times my nose," then enter the code: 1-5-2-4 to obtain the Silver Dubloon.

Brookhaven

Find the industrial building in east Brookhaven and enter the parking lot. The case is to the right of the trailer next to the door. Then solve the puzzle: "The ancient Mummy of Averno has 12 fingers. A handsome hero steals 7 of them, buries one, and reattaches 4 to the Mummy. Now… Add 1000! How many fingers does the Mummy have?" Enter the number: 1-0-0-9 and receive the Crude Harpoon Tip.

Chinatown

Find the jewelry store, turn left, and climb to the roof. The safe is on the parapet to the left of the stairs. Solve the riddle: "The first number is four less than the second number. The second number is 3 more than the third number. The third number is double the first number. The last number is the same as the second number." Then enter the combination: 1-5-2-5 and pick up the Kentrosaurus Spike.

Springwood

Enter the courtyard of the building in the northeast of Springwood. You’ll find the safe in the corner to the left of the dumpster and solve the puzzle: "Any cop worth their salt should know when the ACPD was instituted." Now enter the code: 1-8-4-8 and take the Ankylosaurus Skull.

Haddonfield Point

The chest is by the fountain that spilled out between two houses in the southwest of the game map. Try to guess: "This morning I eight alone at a two four one restaurant. I didn't tip." Use the code: 8-2-4-1 to get The Iron Claw.

Lacoima Bay

Head to the waterfront between the bridges and find the case in the parking lot next to the far left trailer, then solve the puzzle: "A=1. B=2. Z=26. What is ACPD? Didn't think I'd throw algebra into the works? There's no limit to my evil! Oh wait, that's 5 numbers. Lose the D." Now activate the code: 1-3-1-6 and get the artifact Silver ACPD Police Bell.

Litchfield

The chest is behind two red pallets with boards in the courtyard of the building in the northwest of Litchfield. Read the riddle: "Gonna need perfect vision to solve this one," then enter the sequence: 2-0-2-0 and take the ACPD Police Sap.

Ramona

Go to the industrial zone in the center of the district, climb onto the metal hangar and you’ll see the case. Solve the puzzle: "A police officer has 2,244 handcuffs (it's hypothetical). They can arrest 2,244 two-armed criminals. How many four-armed criminals can they arrest?" Enter the numbers: 1-1-2-2 and pick up the Undeciphered Stone Tablet.

Slipwater Yard

Head to the western waterfront on the southern island. To the left of the red trailer, open the case by solving the puzzle: "To find the code for the nearby stash, you'll have to count EV3RY TRE3 1N AVERNO CI7Y!" The safe code: 3-3-1-7, and from the chest you'll get the Fake Averno Diamond.

Lacoima Bridge

Cross the West Bridge from the southern island and go around the building on the right. Upon seeing the safe in the corner, read the hint: "I thought this was a digital clock showing 11pm. then I realized it was the code I set on the stash," enter the number: 2-3-0-0 and take the Mummified Index Finger.

Bayside Strip

On the first island, head northeast, go around the building with the "Dutchies" store on the right. To open the safe next to the red box, solve the puzzle: "The number of parking spaces outside the ACPD Precinct entrance. The number of benches in the holding cell of the ACPD Precinct. The number of police officer portraits on the evidence room walls." Set the code: 5-4-3-2 and take the Sanguis Jewel.

Warhurst

Go north from the west bridge and enter the block on the right. Approach the largest house and find the case next to the wire fence. Now you need to solve the riddle: "Call the cops! Then press 1 to speak to an officer." Enter the code: 9-1-1-1 to get the Wooden Idol.

Carlito

Enter the Carlito district and open the chest near the western building marked "General Store." Solve the puzzle: "The year the museum was opened. I hope it rained" and enter the combination: 1-8-7-4, then take the St. Harry's Fishing Hat.

Carver Port

Head to the southeastern part of Carver Port, where under a large blue crane you’ll find a safe next to a red container. Solve the riddle: "I hope these clues aren't two hard four the police two solve one their own." Use the code: 2-4-2-1 to get The Last Knife of the Averno Forge.

Dutch Exchange

Approach the bank and use the ladder near the kiosk to climb onto the roof, then you’ll see the case on the vent shaft. Solve the puzzle: "I'm a clock. My little hand is pointing straight up. My big hand is pointing straight down. What time is it?" Enter the code: 1-2-3-0 and take Henry Fisher's Fingerprint.

Jonasville

In the center of the district, climb onto the roof of the brick house. Solve the riddle: "If my work shifts started at 6, 8, 10, and 11, and lasted for 8 hours, when did I finish each shift?" To open the safe, use the code: 2-4-6-7 and get the Pirate Telescope.

Little Italy

Cross the central bridge from the south and climb onto the first building on the right. Solve the puzzle: "Just a straight line down the middle." Open the chest by entering the number: 2-5-8-0 to get the 17th Century Compass.

Serenity Park

Reach the park north of Lafayette and find the case between trash containers behind the right central building. Solve the puzzle: "I figured I'd set one of these codes as the year Chief Cordell was killed. I heard he had a kid. No kid should grow up without their father. Those gangs have no idea about the consequences of their actions." Enter the code: 1-9-7-8, then pick up the Mummified Big Toe.

Springwood, South

Find Paulie's Glatt Meat Store in Springwood and climb onto the roof. The safe is on the ventilation shaft; to open it, solve the riddle: "I learned to tie shoes blindfolded, to impress Bobby. I practiced on 1,000 strangers (they had no idea). One of the strangers only had 1 shoe. How many laces did I tie?" Enter the number: 1-9-9-9 and receive Warhurst's Ring.
