Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — Verso's Drafts Location Full Walkthrough
After their recent triumph, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 released a small DLC. To the east, near Lumière, there is now a small location called Verso's Drafts, where you can find many valuable rewards. In this guide, we will provide a step-by-step walkthrough of this biome. You will learn the locations of all bosses and trophies.
How to Enter Verso's Drafts
The new location, Verso's Drafts, is located in the southeast of the game world, near Lumière. To access it, you need to start Mael’s third act and have level six friendship with Esquie.
It is important to note that high-level monsters inhabit this location. Therefore, you should level up your squad to the maximum possible before entering. The portal to Verso's Drafts is to the left of the giant Eiffel Tower.
Open Playground
Move forward to the Open Playground flag. Going down, you will encounter the first enemies. For defeating them, you will receive two Pictos:
- Longer Break — the Break effect lasts one turn longer, but you cannot reapply Break to the same target.
- Double Third — every third skill hit deals double damage.
Below, there will be a couple more enemies, from whom you’ll get two Grand Chroma Catalysts and the SOS Healing Tint Picto: when health drops below 50%, a healing tonic is consumed. Next, you’ll see a Paintbox containing an Esquiem for Luné. To unlock it, detonate three orbs:
- The chasm on the left.
- Above the paintbox.
- To the right of the cave entrance.
Ahead, there will be three enemies. After the battle, you’ll get two Grand Chroma Catalysts and the Damage Share Picto: 50% of received damage is distributed to allies. Then, on the right side, you’ll see the lower part of the playground. Here there are many Jestrails, and you can also complete three challenges and get rewards:
- Hopscotch. Jump on the squares from the first to the panel with suns. Mael's Hat.
- Swings. Here, you need to jump three times at the moment when the Jestral touches their part of the swing. Picto Empowering Jumps: Counterattacks deal 100% damage for each successful jump counterattack on that turn.
- Balloons. In shooting mode, pop the balloons and talk to the Jestral. To defeat him in battle, shoot the red and yellow balloons that pop out from the ground. Picto Trigger-Happy: After 10 shots in one turn, you gain +2 AP. All subsequent shots in the same turn deal +200% damage.
Gestral Baths
Climb to the upper part of the park. Find the Gestral Baths flag and walk across the tiles to the right to get a top hat for Verso. Near the rest spot, there is a giant amphora with a Grand Chroma Catalyst.
In this part of the location, there are six orange Esquie statues. Light up three random figures to change their color to blue. Find the Jestral by the pond with a lifebuoy and a whistle around his neck. Get a piece of cake and a hairstyle for Monoko from him. The cake will be needed later for the gingerbread door puzzle.
Next to the lifeguard Jestral, there are several interesting activities:
- Behind the waterfall is the Slowing Attack Picto: Basic attack applies slow for one turn.
- To cross the springboard, hit the small Jestral. Pick up the Esquiarro for Monoko at the end.
- Below, there are three rings: yellow, blue, and red. If you jump through them, you can get the Lumina color and hairstyles for Mael and Monoko from the Jestral on the shore. To get into the last ring, you need to purchase all costumes for Verso.
Below the Gestral park roams the Chroma-Sweetie boss. From it, you will get a flawless Chroma Catalyst, two grand Chroma Catalysts, five Lumina colors, and a Lollipop for Ciel.
Reverie Path
Next, you will see a toy area, and to the right of it is the Reverie Path flag. Near the monsters, there is a wall made of cubes. Climb it and then, using the heroes' acrobatic abilities, follow the beams up to the Chroma-Unicorn boss. After the battle, for Mael's Unicornum, you will receive five Lumina colors, two grand Chroma Catalysts, and a flawless Chroma Catalyst.
Descend to the pond where you met the Chroma-Sweetie, and find the waterfall with a toy ship inside. Go to the lower level of the park and give it to the Jestrals to get the second piece of cake.
Return to the river and move left along the shore. To the left of the giant arch, there is a descent leading to the Chroma-Franktal boss. After defeating him, you can loot an Esquiem for Mael, five Lumina colors, two grand Chroma Catalysts, and a flawless Chroma Catalyst.
Climb up to the arch, go through it, and find the cool Jestral. Take all the heroes for a ride on the carousel and receive Birthday Cake. Behind it, there is a healing tonic. There is also Monsieur Frappe here, who gives the Feint Picto: at the start of each turn, you have Sweetness level 4, but every 5th hit deals 600% damage. To get the reward, perform a successful counterattack three times. Press the button when he lifts his heels off the ground.
Licornapieds Station
Now you can return to the Reverie Path flag, go up to the gingerbread door, and open it with the birthday cake. Defeat all the enemies, collect the Lumina color and Grand Chroma Catalyst from the tracks, and board the train, which will take the heroes to the Licornapieds Station flag.
Here you will face the boss One Step. The battle will be tough—the enemy has a huge health pool. To win, you must use the Gommage gradanieti-attack more than five times.
The boss is vulnerable to:
- Stun.
- Fire attacks.
After victory, you will receive six Grand Chroma Catalysts and the Frenzy Picto—each subsequent skill hit deals +10% damage. Then, a train will appear on the platform, taking the squad to the door leading to the Path of Dreams flag.
The merchant next to the flag sells a candy for Luné and two Pictos: Deduction (-1 AP to skills) and Absorbing Attack (absorbs burns and increases damage).
Now go up to the gingerbread door, turn right, and proceed to the paintbox with a Chroma Elixir. The orbs are located in the following places:
- To the left of the paintbox.
- Above the paintbox.
- To the right, under the treehouse.
In this location, you can find the Gradient Parry and Empowered Healer Pictos, and on the porch of the treehouse you can pick up Sugaroso for Verso.
Candy Land
In the cave to the left of the first flag leading to Candy Land, you will find the Alternating Critical Picto.
To the left of the flag, there is a path to the mini-boss Mime and the Eskion weapon for Ciel. There is also a tunnel leading to the carousel and to the Chroma-Engineer boss, from whom you’ll get a Trostaro for Monoko, five Lumina colors, two Grand Chroma Catalysts, and one Flawless Chroma Catalyst. In addition, you can find a breakable glass jar hiding a passage to a simple tile puzzle.
Root of All Evil
Beyond the Path of Dreams flag, there is a path to the train that leads to the portal for the Root of All Evil location. Here, the final boss Oscio resides. The fight will be difficult because you will have to survive two phases. Dodge his attacks and strike back with your most powerful combos. At the end, he will create a void sphere that must be parried at the last moment, or the whole team will die and you’ll have to start over.
After the battle, you will receive a unique movement animation for Verso and the Esieko weapon. As an additional reward, you’ll get a retouch and various Chroma Catalysts. A merchant will appear near the flag, from whom you can buy outfits and hairstyles for the rest of the team.
