Phantom Blade Zero Crimson Forest Memory Flower Locations

Memory Flowers in Phantom Blade Zero not only reveal more about the characters but also increase your character's maximum health. In Crimson Forest, you'll find both a complete memory and individual petals scattered across caves, ledges, and the misty woods. This guide walks you through a detailed route to every flower and explains exactly where to find them.

When searching for Memory Flowers, always look for glowing blue flowers. Once you spot the blue glow, approach the flower and interact with it to hear the memory. If a memory is split into several parts, collecting just one petal won't increase your health. You'll need to find the rest to earn the bonus.

The sets covered below contain 18 collection points in total. Don't confuse this with the number of completed Memory Flowers, since several pickups may belong to the same story. We've arranged them in the order you'll encounter them while exploring the area. However, you'll have to return to the trapped passage later if this is your first visit, as it requires Bastion, which you obtain in the Village of Lu.

Flower #1 is right at the beginning of Crimson Forest, near the first Bell. After the scene with Inanis, examine the ground beside the resting point and interact with the blue flowers.

This is a complete memory, so you don't need to search for any additional petals. Collecting it immediately increases your maximum health by 5%. Don't confuse this pickup with Inanis' larger Memory Flower set, which you'll begin collecting in the second half of the region.

You'll need three petals to complete this memory. Collecting the full set rewards you with 7% more maximum health.

Defeat Hua Qianxiao, the Sword Fanatic and continue across the broken bridge. After dropping down, find the grapple point and use the chain sickle to cross the gap. Follow the cliff into the cave. You'll find three dogs on the right. Deal with them and collect the petal.

Reach the Trail of Cages and find Quick Hand Zhang, who is trapped in a suspended cage. After speaking with him, enter the cave along the cliff and check the lower rocky ledge. The next flower is here. Don't rush straight to the mechanism that frees the prisoner, or you could easily miss the path down.

From the Outlaw Trap Bell, turn toward the mounted enemy and look for the dirt path on the right. Defeat the rider and the nearby outlaw, then interact with the flowers.

This memory consists of four petals and increases your maximum health by 7%. You can pick up three parts along the way, but you'll need to return later with special equipment for the fourth.

After defeating Jing Ye, the Outlaw, leave the arena to the left. Near a small wooden bridge, look right and drop onto the lower ledge. Pick up the petal, then continue toward Thieves' Camp.

Cross the large bridge and reach the settlement. Find the road leading to Quick Hand Zhang's hideout. From his shop, step onto the wooden walkway that curves around the cliff and follow it into a cave. Check the ground inside and collect the flower.

From the Cliffside Lodge Bell, climb the stairs and pass through the poison-filled room to reach the balcony. Pick up the Crimson Forest Cellar Crank, return to the house, and open the way down.

Below, find the two wooden walkways and descend between them, then make your way to the lowest level. Pass through the large opening to find the petal. While you're exploring the underground area, also pick up the Thieves' Camp Dungeon Key. You'll need it for the final part of this set.

Return here after obtaining Bastion in the Village of Lu. From the Thieves' Camp Bell, unlock the dungeon with the key you found and descend to the lower level.

Use the shield to get through the corridor with the arrow-shooting trap. Then climb the stairs and cross a second trapped section. At the exit, check the field on the right. The flower is near a mounted enemy. If you've collected only three petals, this is the first place you should check.

This set requires two petals. Collect both to gain 5% more maximum health.

After the chase sequence, reach the Mirrorwood Entrance Bell. The blue flowers are right beside it, directly along your route. Pick up the petal before continuing down.

Continue along the path and defeat Stone Hand Iron Fever. After the fight, check the clearing and the ridge beyond the arena, where you can see the gorge and the Sha-Chi Tower. Collect the second part of the memory here.

Inanis' larger set consists of six petals. Completing it grants 10% more maximum health.

From Iron Fever's arena, find the passage behind the large pale tree. Follow the rocky path up into the gorge and examine the fork. The flowers grow beneath a twisted tree beside the stone wall.

Reach the Burial Grounds Bell. A group of enemies guards the flowers in the clearing ahead. Clear the area first, then collect the petal.

From the previous pickup, continue through the stone arch and head down into the forest. Find a large rock with a small stone lantern beside it. The flowers are growing at its base.

From the Parting Mists Bell, descend to the lower road and head uphill from the stone lantern. Look up and to the left, then grapple onto the tree to reach the ledge. Defeat the two fire-wielding enemies and keep climbing.

At the edge of the gorge, find a second branch you can grapple onto and cross to the opposite side. Deal with the knife throwers, then take down the brute farther along the path. Head down the slope into a forest clearing beneath the cliff and collect the petal.

Make your way to the Mirrorwood Depths Bell. Blue flowers grow beside a nearby stream. Check the bank before moving on.

From the same Bell, pass through the gate between two trees hung with lanterns. On the other side, find the next patch of flowers beside a glowing portal. Collect the final petal and check that the set is complete.

The final set contains two petals and awards 5% more maximum health. Both pickups are on the route through the Mirrorwood puzzle toward the Threadbound Great Tree.

Pick up Flower #17 from the ground while completing the first part of the puzzle, after dispersing the mist. Flower #18 is farther along the same route, on the way to the passage blocked by mist. Don't rush straight into the next portal. Search the ground between transitions.

To complete the portal sequence, take the following route: left, forward, right, forward, right, left, forward. Once you have both parts, confirm that Bai Chilian's memory is complete. Before leaving the region, we recommend checking your collections in the journal. If Inanis' Memory Flower is still at five out of six petals, check the clearing above the gorge. If On Perfect Transcension remains incomplete, return to the dungeon with Bastion. That way, you can look for the specific petal you're missing instead of searching the entire Crimson Forest again.
