S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Devs Release Patch 1.4 and Outline Key Changes

GSC Game World has released Patch 1.4 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, aiming to fix bugs and improve combat mechanics and overall gameplay.
Here are some of the major changes introduced in Patch 1.4:
- Mutants now eat corpses and become alert when something suspicious happens nearby;
- NPC combat behavior has been improved;
- Combat animations are now smoother and faster;
- Melee combat is more challenging on “Veteran” and “Stalker” difficulties;
- NPCs now have a limited number of grenades and use them more strategically to flush out enemies;
- NPCs can kick small mutants — and the player, if crouching;
- After a fight, NPCs scan the area for threats, then begin looting and healing allies;
- Random NPC appearances are now more varied;
- The Burer can now catch and throw grenades using telekinesis;
- Weapon stats in the inventory have been updated, with a new attribute called “handling”;
- Fixed bugs related to NPC and mutant behavior;
- Numerous quest-related fixes;
- Performance improvements;
- Enhanced facial animations;
- New death animations added.
