S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, RDR 2, and The Witcher 3 Get Better Graphics with DLSS 4 in Video Comparison
A video of DLSS 4 testing from NVIDIA appeared on the MxBenchmarkPC YouTube channel. The technology was tested in several games, including Cyberpunk 2077 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Recall that on January 7, NVIDIA introduced DLSS 4 technology, which can improve gaming performance by eight times and generates up to three additional frames, increasing FPS. Blogger MxBenchmarkPC decided to check if this is true and launched Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Dragon Age: The Veilguard in 1440p quality, with Ultra settings and path tracing. Everything was tested on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and Intel Core i7 — 14700F.
The video not only showed the results «before» and «after» using the technology, but also compared the work of the last two generations of DLSS frame by frame. The difference is visible to the naked eye:
DLSS 4 with a full set of functions will be exclusive to RTX 50 video cards. Previous generations of cards will receive only a reduced set of features. Recently, support for the technology was added to Cyberpunk 2077: the same is announced for Doom: The Dark Ages, which will be released on May 15.
