Googlebook pre-orders are now live, and Google is pairing the launch with a bundle of software perks: buyers will get 12 months of Google AI Pro and Gemini Advanced Tools, plus three months of YouTube Premium and Adobe Photoshop. The first models go on sale in the U.S. on October 4, 2026, before arriving in Canada, the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia on October 5. Google also has a shop page live for pre-orders.
The lineup will include models based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3, Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, and MediaTek chips. Google says the new laptops are built around Googlebook OS, with a focus on AI features.
Googlebook OS will also get Magic Pointer, which lets users quickly move the cursor to bring up Gemini where they are working. The system will support Android apps without emulation, offer widget creation, and receive updates and new features for up to 10 years.
Google is also tying Googlebook into Android phones. The laptops can sync passwords, Wi-Fi, and messages, continue tasks across devices, and cast phone apps to the laptop screen. Google says the machines will support mobile games through Google Play, while AAA games are listed only through streaming services such as GeForce Now.
That may be the most notable part of the pitch: Googlebook is aiming to cover everyday apps, AI tools, and mobile games, but not local AAA gaming. The result is a laptop family that leans heavily on cloud services and phone integration rather than raw game hardware.
