PlayStation 2 is celebrating its birthday! The legendary Japanese console launched exactly 25 years ago, on March 4, 2000.
Amazingly, even today, PS2 remains the best-selling console of all time. Sony managed to ship 160 million units, with only the Nintendo DS (154 million) and Nintendo Switch (150 million) coming close.
The PlayStation 2 era also gave birth to iconic franchises like God of War, Devil May Cry, and Yakuza. Let us know in the comments—did you own a PS2, and what was your favorite game?
