Mistfall Hunter Class Tier List: Which Class Should You Choose?
To successfully extract treasure and other valuable relics in Mistfall Hunter, you need to choose a class that fits both your playstyle and your team composition. Some classes perform better in PvP, while others are more useful in PvE or coordinated team fights. In this guide, we'll break down the strengths and weaknesses of every class, look at how effective they are in different situations, and put together a tier list to help you decide which one to play first.
What Classes Are Available in Mistfall Hunter
Mistfall Hunter uses a class-based system that lets every player choose a character suited to their preferred combat style. There are currently six playable classes:
- Sorcerer.
- Withered Knight.
- Mercenary.
- Blackarrow.
- Seer.
- Shadowstrix.
Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses in both PvP and PvE. Below, we'll take a closer look at what each one has to offer.
S-Tier Classes in Mistfall Hunter
We'll start with the most versatile classes, which perform consistently well across different modes and fit into most team compositions.
Sorcerer: Pros and Cons
At the time of writing, Sorcerer remains one of the strongest and most versatile classes in Mistfall Hunter. Its biggest advantages are powerful ranged spells and area-of-effect attacks, which make it excellent at controlling groups of monsters and putting heavy pressure on other players.
The Elemental Resonance build rewards alternating between Fire and Ice spells, while the class's mobility tools help you reposition and escape dangerous situations.
Sorcerer's biggest weakness is poor survivability at close range, so positioning is extremely important. You should avoid letting enemies close the gap too quickly.
Withered Knight: Pros and Cons
Withered Knight is an excellent frontline fighter. The class can wield a Greatsword for heavy damage or use a Polearm and Shield for a more balanced mix of offense and defense. Light Strikes apply Wither to enemies, while Heavy Strikes deal additional damage to Withered targets.
Thanks to strong durability, reliable control, and powerful attacks, Withered Knight can keep enemies engaged at close range and apply constant pressure during team fights.
The class's main weakness is its reliance on melee range. If an opponent is good at maintaining distance or repeatedly disengaging, it becomes much harder to take advantage of Withered Knight's strengths. If you usually enjoy playing tanks or durable frontline characters in other games, Withered Knight is an excellent choice.
A-Tier Classes in Mistfall Hunter
A-tier classes can also perform extremely well, but they depend more heavily on the game mode, team composition, or the player's individual skill.
Mercenary: Pros and Cons
Mercenary is an excellent choice for beginners thanks to its straightforward mechanics and high survivability. It has two main weapon options: Sword and Shield or Hammer.
Depending on your weapon, you can either pressure enemies with faster close-range Sword attacks while using the Shield defensively, or rely on the Hammer for slower but much heavier hits.
Mercenary's biggest weakness is its limited effectiveness at long range. If an opponent refuses to let you close the distance, it becomes much harder to capitalize on the class's strengths. Even so, Mercenary remains valuable in prolonged fights thanks to its survivability and control, so it would be wrong to treat it as a class built only around quickly finishing off targets.
Blackarrow: Pros and Cons
Blackarrow is a great choice for players who prefer keeping enemies at a distance and dealing damage with a Bow.
The class has several useful tools for applying debuffs from range. However, Blackarrow performs much worse in close combat and relies heavily on good positioning.
Low survivability at close range makes Blackarrow vulnerable if you fail to secure a favorable position and maintain enough distance from your opponent.
Shadowstrix: Pros and Cons
Shadowstrix is a good fit for players who enjoy stealth, high mobility, and surprise attacks. The class can choose when to engage, deal heavy burst damage in a short window, and quickly reposition afterward.
Shadowstrix is especially effective in PvP and solo encounters, where stealth and mobility let you control when a fight begins and when you disengage. In team play, its effectiveness depends more heavily on choosing the right target and attacking at the right moment.
If you choose this class, you'll need a good sense of timing. The key is to find the right moment for an ambush, deal as much damage as possible, and disengage before the enemy can punish you.
B-Tier Classes in Mistfall Hunter
Seer: Pros and Cons
Seer only lands in B-tier in our overall ranking because its effectiveness depends heavily on team composition. In solo play, it falls behind most alternatives, but in a coordinated group it can become one of the most valuable classes available.
If you're playing with friends and can constantly coordinate your actions, Seer becomes much stronger thanks to healing, ally support, and crowd-control abilities.
Seer's biggest drawback is its relatively low personal damage compared to offense-focused classes. This makes it harder to quickly end fights on your own or compensate for mistakes through raw damage.
Which Class Should You Choose
The best choice depends on how comfortable you are with Mistfall Hunter and whether you have a regular group or mostly play with strangers.
Mercenary is an excellent option for beginners because its mechanics are easy to understand and there is little complicated setup to learn. Your main job is simply to deal consistent damage, survive enemy pressure, and finish off targets.
More experienced players should consider Sorcerer. It isn't just one of the strongest classes in the game, it also has an interesting combat loop built around crowd control and alternating elemental spells. Sorcerer remains useful whether you're playing with friends or joining random teammates.
Dedicated solo players should consider Shadowstrix because so much of its kit revolves around stealth, mobility, and surprise attacks. It can strike unexpectedly from concealment, deal heavy burst damage, and then quickly disengage before taking too much damage in return.
Ultimately, though, you should prioritize whichever class feels the most enjoyable to play.
