Ampersat

An action RPG that combines retro styling with modern game mechanics. The one-man project is inspired by Gauntlet, Smash TV and Angband, offering an unusual visual style with ASCII characters in a 3D environment and Commodore 64-inspired sound design.

The player will take on the role of a battle mage named Ampersat and go to dungeons and towers to free the village of Gentlheim from the invader Lord Z. At the same time, it is necessary to return the language to the inhabitants, fighting dozens of types of enemies, defeating bosses, collecting hundreds of items and upgrading the character using a flexible skill system.

The game features over 50 handcrafted levels with exploration and puzzle elements, as well as a procedural zone for endless runs. There is the ability to upgrade buildings in the village, freely choose the order of passage, and even connect a second player in asynchronous co-op - he controls an invulnerable fairy who helps in battle.
