Reviews and ratings
Beholder: Conductor successfully translates the series' trademark blend of bureaucracy, surveillance, and moral ambiguity to a new setting. As the conductor of a state-controlled train, you're tasked with inspecting passengers, enforcing regulations, and carrying out increasingly questionable orders. What starts as routine paperwork gradually evolves into a web of difficult choices where there is rarely a clearly right answer. The gameplay loop can become repetitive at times, but the strong atmosphere, branching outcomes, and constant ethical dilemmas keep things engaging. While it may not reach the heights of the best narrative-driven games, Beholder: Conductor is a worthwhile entry in the franchise that offers plenty of tension and memorable decision-making. 7.8/10.
