Checkpoint 13

A first-person atmospheric border control simulator with survival elements. Most of the work takes place during daytime shifts, when you need to check documents, verify biometric data, and use a Geiger counter and anomaly detectors. The main threat comes from the “Others”—creatures that can perfectly mimic human appearances and slip through the fog into the checkpoint. Based on your checks, you must decide whom to let through, whom to arrest, and whom to send back into the radioactive wasteland. Every decision affects the balance of power between factions and the hero’s chances of survival.

In the evening, tense work gives way to rest and conversations with the checkpoint’s residents. You can spend time by the campfire, listening to local stories, drinking, and getting to know the other people at the terminal. The contrast between routine duty and the danger lurking behind every visitor creates an atmosphere of constant distrust, where even a routine document check can have serious consequences.
