A story-driven survival horror game full of intricate puzzles and a dark, surreal atmosphere. The game tells the story of Charlotte, who finds herself locked in an ominous factory. There she will have to fight ugly and vicious creatures, interact with objects that violate the laws of nature, and face the consequences of human interference in other realities.
As the story progresses, Charlotte explores two parallel worlds. The first is the Trope, the abstract space of memories, thoughts and ideas. The second is the gloomy and grotesque world of Metaphor: a winter night forest, where creatures that only vaguely resemble people live in the kingdom of darkness and violence.
