This detective adventure, presented entirely through live-action video, centers on a murder investigation and identifying liars. The player can move freely around the game world, gather evidence and observe events that change as the investigation progresses. Characters appear in video, and much of the gameplay involves questioning them and examining their answers.
During interviews, the protagonist asks about the evidence collected and events witnessed, looking for contradictions in the characters’ statements. Pairing two contradictions lets the player confront a character with the inconsistencies and see how they respond.
