This historical strategy game focuses on the feudal kingdoms of medieval Europe from 1066 to 1453. The player leads a dynasty and seeks to expand its lands and treasury across a map that covers Europe, parts of Persia and the Arabian Peninsula, and the coast of North Africa.

The realm can be strengthened by building cathedrals and castles, fighting bandit groups and rebellious vassals, introducing laws, and setting taxes. Interactions with courtiers and nobles also shape the game, while the monarch’s actions give rise to historical events with multiple-choice outcomes.
