The game follows a data processing worker who moves to a big city, rents an apartment, and takes a temporary job to make ends meet. Their official title is data conversion operator, and their day-to-day duties involve deciphering and retyping texts that ordinary computers can’t recognize. The work revolves around studying images on a terminal screen and transferring everything they can make out into digital form.
Among the usual documents, strange letters and lost messages gradually begin to appear. They have passed through many hands and ended up at the processing service because of their unusual nature. Some are damaged, distorted, or contain details that are hard to explain. As the work goes on, everyday routines become entangled with mysteries, and unsettling inconsistencies begin to emerge from what seems like an ordinary grind. The game combines monotonous work with the investigation of strange correspondence, gradually revealing hidden secrets through texts that have nowhere else to go.
