Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Devs Explain Why Costumes Are Less Sexualized
Project manager Tsuyoshi Iuchi said in a Famitsu interview that Dead or Alive 6 Last Round was aiming for costumes that fit each character, rather than outfits designed mainly to be provocative.
Iuchi argued that highly sexualized costumes tend to appear less often in competitive games because some players feel embarrassed wearing them. As an example, he pointed to ranked matches, where even swimsuit costumes are relatively rare. He added that the studio wants every new costume to feel like a complete outfit for a specific character, not just another collectible item that people discard quickly.
