Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake

The remake brings back the first two classic Dragon Quest games in a completely reimagined form. Both games are combined into a single adventure with the HD-2D visual style familiar from Octopath Traveler and Live A Live. The worlds of Alefgard and its surroundings are brought to life with a deep color palette, dynamic lighting, and a remastered orchestral score, while maintaining the structure and spirit of the 1980s originals.

In the first part, the story follows the Heroic Descendant of Erdrick, who must defeat the Dragonlord and restore light to a world plunged into darkness. In the second, the action unfolds a generation later: new heroes from three kingdoms unite to stop the powerful sorcerer Hargon and his deity of destruction. Both games feature improved combat systems, redesigned interfaces, updated dialogue, and more natural storytelling, making them the perfect way to relive the roots of the legendary series.
