A real-time city-building strategy game about developing an ancient Roman city. The campaign is set in the historical Roman Empire, while custom scenarios take place on procedurally generated maps.
The player builds a city and manages its resources as residents gather materials and produce goods on their own. The settlement needs water and healthcare, while education, public contentment, and appeasing the gods also require attention. Trade routes and research unlock new opportunities, and weather and other events present further challenges. The 12-level campaign also involves defending the city from rivals and fighting back.
