This tower defense strategy game centers on defending against an invasion by legions of fieldrunners. The player places weapon towers to create winding routes for enemies and selects a loadout for each battle. Airstrikes, mines, and other attack options supplement the towers, which can also be upgraded.
The campaign moves through varied environments, from fields and deserts to cities and a volcano. Trenches, bridges, and tunnels add routes across the battlefield, while enemies choose their own paths through it. Alongside standard battles, the game features Puzzle, Sudden Death, and Time Trial modes.
