A military strategy game about NATO and Soviet forces clashing in 1980s Central Europe. The player commands troops and plans operations around mission objectives, the strengths and weaknesses of each side, terrain, weather, and time of day. Units carry out orders on their own, so the course of a battle may call for changes to the original plan.
Battles unfold across large maps, while an asynchronous turn structure models the OODA decision-making loop. The game includes campaigns and individual scenarios, with armored vehicles, infantry, helicopters, and air power, alongside realistic weather and modern combat systems. Multiplayer options and modding tools are also available.
