Continuation of The Forest and Sons of the Forest, which transfers key mechanics of the series into a sci-fi setting. The events unfold on an alien planet, where the main character arrives after a disaster. As you progress, you need to explore an open world, gather resources, and survive in an aggressive ecosystem with unique fauna — from small predators to large mutated creatures with unusual behavior and abilities. The atmosphere of tension is maintained due to limited resources, constant threats, and horror elements.

The building and crafting system evolves through futuristic technologies: high-tech tools, energy weapons, defense systems, and upgradable bases are used. The game features a storyline related to the nature of the planet, the cause of the disaster, and traces of possible ancient civilizations. A cooperative mode is supported, where survival, exploration, and defense become a team task.
