A turn-based strategy game about guiding a civilization from a tribal settlement in 4000 BC through the centuries and toward space colonization. The player founds cities and develops them as their populations grow, gather taxes, and advance scientific research. Buildings and infrastructure, including roads and mines, support further development, while new technologies unlock additional structures and military units.
Civilizations can wage war or establish diplomatic relations. Rulesets offer different ways to play, and maps can be selected from existing options, generated randomly, or made with the map editor. Victory goes to the civilization that eliminates its rivals, achieves space colonization, or has the highest score when the deadline is reached.
