Fighting
Fighting is a genre of video games that simulates hand-to-hand combat in a limited space. There are a small number of characters in a fighting game, and the fighting area is called an "arena." Unlike the "beat 'em all" genre, the gameplay in fighting games is focused on competition rather than player cooperation and coordination of their actions. Most often, the fight is one-on-one, even in team battles. In the latter case, characters replace each other at the player's discretion or at the moment of knockout.
