This survival adventure takes place on an island of abandoned cities, factories, caves and hazardous areas. The protagonist wakes beside a crashed plane with no memory of who they are or where they were headed. To stay alive, they must search for medicine, bandages, clothing and weapons while facing bandits, zombies, monsters and wild animals.
Players explore the open world, hunt, gather equipment, chop trees, and build houses, other structures and traps. Weapons can be found or crafted, and cars provide a way to travel. The game includes solo exploration with missions as well as multiplayer with player-hosted servers. Day and night and the weather change, and the game can be played from a first- or third-person perspective.
