Take control of your progression. EXP Modifier multiplies all the experience you gain — from monster kills, quest rewards, and any other source — by a factor you choose in a simple text file. Want to breeze through the early grind at 2x, or take it slow at 0.5x? Your call.
Features:
- Multiply all vision of XP: one setting scales every experience gain (kills, quests, everything).
- Fully configurable: set your multiplier in a plain INI file and change it at any time.
- Real leveling: you level up normally with all the usual rewards (learning points, stats); the game handles the leveling process itself, while the mod just feeds it more XP.
- Safe & lightweight: pure gameplay logic, no asset replacement, and it hooks nothing in the engine, so it cannot break your game.
How It Works:
- The mod watches your experience and, whenever you gain some, tops it up based on your multiplier. The game then handles all the leveling. Because it never hooks or replaces any core game functions, your XP and leveling will keep working normally even if the mod is disabled or removed — you will just get the vanilla base amount.
Good to Know:
- Multiplier range: 0 to 10. The game engine grants roughly one level per XP gain event, so extremely high values would make your level lag behind your actual XP (showing a full bar at a low level). Values are capped at 10; for a smooth experience, a multiplier between 1.5 and 5 is ideal.
- On-screen UI popup: The floating +X popup notification upon a kill shows the game's base amount, not the multiplied one. This is just a visual limitation of the screen notification — your actual character sheet experience total and your level will correctly reflect the multiplier.
- First level-up delay: The game checks for a level-up on your next XP gain event, so the very first level after crossing a threshold might land one kill "late". This is negligible during normal gameplay.
Installation instructions:
- Install UE4SS into ...\Gothic 1 Remake\G1R\Binaries\Win64 (dwmapi.dll must be in the same folder as the G1R-Win64-Shipping.exe executable).
- Copy the EXPModifier folder from the archive into the following directory:
...\G1R\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\ - That's it — the mod is enabled by default (it ships with an enabled.txt file).
- Alternatively, you can manage it inside ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt by adding the line: EXPModifier : 1.
