How long ago I completed all parts of Gothic, the developers are great for making a remake! In fact, if you add responsive controls to the original Gothic, slightly rework the balance in the combat and make it more convenient, that would be enough for me.
Despite all the angularity of the visual, the original Gothic looks very nice even now, due to the fact that there is really cool art design, a colorful palette, it is pleasant. The game has a unique and cool game design and narrative - it plays perfectly (if you take the controls out of the equation).
I would just like a little more tweaked game mechanics and responsive controls.

На самом деле, если в оригинальную Готику добавить отзывчивое управление, немного переработать баланс в боевке и сделать ее удобнее — мне этого было бы достаточно.
Не смотря на всю угловатость визуала, оригинальная Готика выглядит очень даже приятно и сейчас, из-за того что там дейтсвительно классный арт-дизайн, цыетовая палитра, она приятная. У игры своеобразный и крутой гейм-дизайн, нарратив — она прекрасно играется (если убрать за скобки управление).
Я бы просто хотел немног оподкрученную игровую механику и отзывчивое управление.
Я жду этот ремейк, но очень опасаюсь, что они могут угробить весь шарм оригинальной Готики, но надежда есть.

I played the first Gothic, it seems, about a thousand hours. I've played it over 20 times because the game is great. She is lamp-like, she is, excuse me, gothic, original. I don’t really trust the Nordics, but I trust the people who made Archolos, I trust the people who made Enderial.
Played the demo. I... Liked her. Yes, it doesn't feel like Gothic 1 fully, but I don't want to be obsessed with duckling syndrome and want to be open to new things. The combat needs to be beefed up quite a bit, of course. In terms of atmosphere and graphics, I have no complaints. It feels, you know, something so old, pleasant, old school.

Я наиграл в первую Готику, кажется, около тысячи часов. Проходил ее более 20-ти раз, потому что игра-то прекрасна. Она лампова, она, простите, готична, самобытна. Много эпитетов можно придумать проекту, но какой в этом смысл, если можно просто попробовать? Когда только был анонс ремейка, я правда радовался. Нордикам я не то, чтобы доверяю, но доверяю людям, сделавшим Архолос, доверяю людям, сделавшим Эндериал.
Поиграл в демку. Она мне... Понравилась. Да, она не ощущается, как Готика 1 полноценно, но я не хочу быть одержимым синдромом утенка и хочу открыться новому. Боевку нужно нехило подтянуть, конечно. В плане атмосферы и графона у меня нареканий нет. Чувствуется, знаете ли, что-то такое старое, приятное, олдскульное.

But both of them cannot refute the fact that this Gothic game, or rather its series, is a masterpiece of the gaming industry. Even with all its pros and cons, it is part of our lives.

I probably played through the old Gothic five times. For me, it's a childhood game, with all its flaws, bugs, and clunky animations. So I approached the remake with both hope and apprehension: how could they ruin it?
I'll put it this way: they didn't ruin it. But I wouldn't call it perfect either.
The first thing that pleased me was that the world felt familiar from the very first minutes. The same colony, the same camp by the stream, the same NPC faces. Diego speaks with the same voice (special thanks for that), and when he sends you out to get junk again, you feel right at home. Скажу так: не испортили. Но и идеальным назвать язык не поворачивается.
Первое, что порадовало — мир узнаётся с первых минут. Та же колония, тот же лагерь у ручья, те же рожи у NPC. Диего говорит тем же голосом (вот за это отдельное спасибо), и когда он в очередной раз посылает тебя за хламом, чувствуешь себя как дома. I stopped being a fan of gothic a long time ago, but I still look forward to it, albeit without any hopes. If the remake fails, I hope the developers will be able to bury this series with dignity and will not return to it, again kicking the corpse of a once wonderful game.
Уже давно перестал быть фанатом готики, но все равно ее жду, хоть и без каких либо надежд. Если ремейк провалится, надеюсь разработчики сумеют достойно похоронить эту серию и не будут к ней возвращаться, снова пиная труп некогда прекрасной игры.
Отличная игра! Игра выглядит более современно мне нравиться.Готике это скорее игра в выживание, когда тебя по дороге в болотный лагерь застаёт ночь и ты устраиваешься на ночлег в пещере, где жаришь добытое тобой мясо падальщика, а затем укладываешься спать под уютный треск костра. Но по факту ты можешь этого и не делать, а просто пробежать через темноту с факелом, если уже знаешь дорогу. Но ты хочешь это делать, потому что это приятно и сильно влияет на погружение. В этом особенность Готики: она не заставляет тебя вживаться в роль, но предоставляет для этого все условия.

Ожидания очень большие. Главное, чтобы кабаны в игре были не в пример таковым из 3-й части, а то придётся не исследовать остров под куполом. а сунуться на заднице от тычек взбесившегося секача)

I'm still playing the game on Xbox Series X. This is my first time playing it; I've never played the original Gothic games before, and I'm not a fan or a diehard fanatic. Gothic 1 Remake is, overall, a good product, significantly improved on all fronts. I had one major complaint about the developers: the lack of 60 FPS and performance modes at launch on older Xbox consoles and PS5 (it's slightly better now, and the FPS stays around 50 with the "unlocked" performance mode. Overall, an 8/10 is the ceiling for this game, and an excellent result, in my opinion).
Ещё прохожу игру на Xbox Series X. Прохожу впервые, в оригинальные игры серии Gothic ранее не играл, не фанат и не фанатик. Gothic 1 Remake, в целом, хороший продукт, качественно улучшенный по всем м фронтам. Глобальная претензия к разработчикам была одна — это отсутствие 60 FPS и режимов работы игры на старте продаж на старших версиях консолей Xbox и PS5 (сейчас уже немного лучше и FPS держится в пределах 50 при «нефиксированном» режиме производительности. В целом и общем — 8/10 — это полоток для этой игры и это отличный результат, как мне кажется)

This is the same Valley of Mines I remember from childhood, but now it breathes. The forests have become truly dense, and Irdorath Castle now looks terrifyingly majestic. The combat system has undergone radical changes—it's now modern and dynamic, without losing that signature Gothic difficulty, where every wolf is a threat.

Это та самая Долина Рудников, которую я помню с детства, но теперь она дышит. Леса стали по-настоящему дремучими, а замок Ирдората теперь выглядит устрашающе величественно.
