A quality-of-life utility mod for Graveyard Keeper 2 that eliminates the tedious chore of backtracking to the Keeper's bed solely to save your progress. The mod allows you to trigger an instant game save from anywhere in the world by pressing a customizable hotkey (bound to F5 by default). This provides a reliable safety net before venturing into dangerous encounters or testing complex craft orders without advancing time through sleep. The plugin is completely safe to install or remove at any point during your playthrough without altering save file stability (precautionary backups are still advised).
Key Features:
- Save Anywhere On Demand — Record your gameplay progress immediately from any map sector without returning home.
- Time-Saving Workflow — Preserves game pacing and day/night cycles by eliminating compulsory sleep intervals used just to record progress.
- Configurable Hotkey — Easily remap the quicksave trigger to your preferred input (defaults to F5).
- Safe Save Lifecycle — Fully safe to add or remove mid-game without corrupting save files or quest states.
Two Distribution Variants:
- Main Version — Standalone edition configured via standard BepInEx configuration files.
- GK2 Mod Framework Version — Integrates directly with the GK2 Mod Framework, enabling on-the-fly adjustment via an in-game graphical interface.
Default Controls:
- F5 — Quick save current progress from anywhere (rebindable via config).
Requirements & Installation:
- Ensure BepInEx 5.x (Unity Mono) is installed in your Graveyard Keeper 2 game folder.
- Launch the game once with BepInEx installed, then exit to desktop.
- Extract the downloaded mod archive.
- Copy the .dll file into:
BepInEx/plugins/ - Launch the game.
Configuration Instructions (Main Version):
- Launch the game once with the mod installed to generate BepInEx/config/nizy.gk2.saveanywhere.cfg.
- Open the configuration file in any text editor.
Available parameter under [Controls]:
- SaveKey = F5 — Key assigned to save the game from anywhere.
- Save the file and restart the game to apply changes.
