This music rhythm game lets players perform songs on guitar, bass, drums, and microphone, with bands formed from any combination of instruments. Its setlist features tracks by 85 bands and artists, including The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Johnny Cash, and is available from the start.

In Party Play, players can join or leave during a song without interrupting the performance. RockFest offers five competitive modes for local or online play. Bands earn rewards for hitting special note sequences together, while song challenges ask players to perform a track in a specific way.
