Halo 3: ODST is a stand-alone expansion for the fast-paced first-person shooter Halo 3. The game takes place parallel to the story of Halo 2 and tells the story of ordinary soldiers forced to fight Covenant forces. As one of the Orbital Marines, you must travel to New Mombasa on Earth and uncover the motives behind the invaders' invasion. You need to use stealth and precision skills to survive the dangers of the occupation.

Reviews and ratings
The game evoked very mixed emotions. Yes, it's a Halo game/DLC, telling a small-scale story about a group of soldiers during a Covenant invasion. But, oh, how mediocre it turned out. The characters spout cliched dialogue, on par with Russian TV series, the level design is simply some kind of Polish shooter from the 2000s, and I won't even mention the color correction: in dark areas, you can't see anything, and in bright locations, the developers added the infamous piss filter. The only positive is the shooting, which is as good as always.
Игра вызвала очень противоречивые эмоции. Да, это игра/dlc Halo-вселенной, рассказывающая камерную историю про группу бойцов во время вторжения Ковенанта. Но, как же посредственно это получилось. Персонажи вываливают самые клишированные диалоги уровня российских сериалов, дизайн уровней — просто какой-то польский шутан из нулевых, а про цветокор вообще молчу, в темных локах вообще ничего не видно, а на светлых локациях разрабы добавили знаменитый piss filter. Единственный плюс — стрельба, она как всегда хороша.
