This prison simulator with role-playing elements lets players create a convict and try to survive in a facility where any sentence could become a death sentence. The player explores a sprawling prison divided into twelve areas, interacts with furniture and other objects, and encounters inmates, wardens, and civilians beyond the gates. Wardens enforce a range of laws.
Survival requires managing mental as well as physical health as each day unfolds in real time. Relationships with other characters can develop into friendships, romances, rivalries, or gangs, and change over time as new faces arrive. In multiplayer, another person can control a character at the scene, helping or hindering the main character.
