This single-player economic simulation is set during a shift from an industrial economy to a technology-driven one, with the player building a company and competing in a changing market. In the sandbox mode of INDUSTRY MANAGER: Future Technologies, the player chooses a product range, develops and manufactures goods, then sells them through local stores or on the global market.
Efficient production depends on supply and demand, resource availability, and market research. Research unlocks production technologies and product innovations, while rival companies affect market conditions. The player can create customizable goods such as an energy-efficient airplane, a digital watch, or a three-wheeled bicycle; later, stocks can be traded and competitors’ companies acquired.
